The reason:

Ouch. Looks like they hit a rock on the corner before breaking the right front suspension. Hopefully Paddon can resist the pressure from Ogier to take his first win.

EDIT: Latvala confirms, the crash was caused by the top mount for the shock breaking, leaving him in a situation where he couldn’t steer.
